Help with tax credit not paid

Hello all,

I would really like some help with a situation, My girlfriend was told she would receive a 4 week run on payment after she finished work,

income support wouldnt start their payments until that 4 week run on payment from tax credits was paid,

she has waited four weeks and is now told that tax credits stopped, so now has been a month with no payments,

we believe she is entitled to the 4 week run on payment, as she worked for long enough etc,

she is very stressed as this works out around £300 so she is struggling but no one seems to help her on the phone,0845 numbers costing her a fortune and being hung up on after 15 minutes etc.

please can someone suggest how we can get what is rightfully owed to her?

Kind regards
Leeroy

If she stops being entitled to WTC the payments she was getting would continue for 4 weeks then stop. It's not a separate payment.

Tax credits is an 0345 number now.

HMRC no longer uses 0845 or 0870 numbers.
DWP no longer use 0845 numbers.

HMRC changed their numbers between April and October 2013.
DWP changed their numbers on 17 March 2014.

The old HMRC 0845 and 0870 numbers return Number Unobtainable tone.
The old DWP 0845 numbers play an announcement telling callers to hang up and re-dial the new 0345 number.

HMRC uses 0300 and 0345 numbers.
    DWP uses 0345 numbers.

Calls to 03 numbers are inclusive from landlines and mobiles, else charged at 'geographic rate' - the same as calling 01 and 02 numbers.

Use only the numbers found on the official gov.uk website.

A Google search will find a large number of 084, 087 and 09 numbers. Do not call these numbers. They are either out of date or part of a scam set up by a third party.
