LainyT....sounds a bit like my late MIL....she was able to manage well cooked foods like soup better then salads. Try to encourage protein at every meal to build her up a bit.....rice pudding made with whole milk? We also just served portionssuitable for a toddler but very pretty. There is at least one other regular poster who is familar with this, maybe one of you could chip in with ideas?

Lainey perhaps a smaller, pretty plate may help, so she doesn't feel over faced? Also, could you prepare her a few homemade ready meals in smaller portions that she could have in her freezer?

Oops sorry I've been AWOL for a while. Monday I had my very knackered daughter at home all day. Then she came as a "guest" to Wi with me to a local church to see the church embroidery which she appreciated as she's doing textiles. My Wi are so friendly and she's been a few times to craft talks and demonstrations.
Tuesday she went to work experience in a local craft shop that runs preschool crafts and workshops as well as retail. She loves it but is there 10 till 2 so my time to do stuff is much reduced. She's there everyday now. Also my kindle was been borrowed but thankfully due to A....n sale she's got a new one.

Finally managed to wash and line dry my bedding . Managed to meet some friends at cafe today which improved my attitude no end.

Jackie O hope today goes okay.
Hugs to those who need/want them.

That's a good idea re home cooked meals that she can freeze, but tbh think her biggest problem is just not wanting to eat alone. After 54 years of preparing meals for my darling Dad she really struggles now it's just her. When she is here with us or out for a meal etc she really enjoys her food, albeit small portions.
