Does this irritate anyone else? it drives me mad, it kicks in everytime I change page, I dont wish to know that Taylor Swift has broken a finger nail! the site is becoming un-readable.
Anyone have a fix, one more week of this and I shall have to change my news home page to Sky?(or do they also have this nonsense popping up constantly?)

Sky is worse for it in my opinion0

Should be possible to block the banner with an ad-blocker. Select the element when it appears and tell the ad-blocker to block it.0

Whilst Ad-Blocker is good, I find in some cases ie when reading news articles, you get a banner across the screen telling you to turn ad-blocker off to take full advantage of the site, which is equally annoying.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0

Hi,
I fully sympathise with you about this, though I must ask... Why does Taylor Swift's nail status not interest you!?!?
Joking aside, I know where you're coming from navigating through the site only for the breaking to appear on each screen, once you press X it should not appear again in my opinion.
Are there any other suggestions for removing it?0 -
They spoilt the Android BBC news app also. I downloaded an older copy and installed that back to my phone. I wont update any of the BBC apps now.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

I'm often irritated by online attention-getters, but don't find this one too bad to be honest – one click and it's gone.0 -

Did she? Which one?0 -
What's even more annoying is while reading a news item about Taylor Swift's broken nail, a breaking news banner pops up and says TS has broken a nail.
What another one?More0
