Just make sure you don't do that the other way round!0 -
Almost nobody seems to have had a kind word to say for The Great Pension Liberator. No wonder politicians despise the electorate.
Well the relationship between politicians and the electorate is much the same as that between footballers and their fans - very fickle!!
Would someone else done the job any better than him for the last 6 years? Probably not ..... but he still ends up on the scrap heap..... but glad he done the pension thing before he went though!0 -
Shame he could get rid of 45% tax, but there is hope of tax simplification moving forwards.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -

Well Mr Osborne was known for wanting to pull one out of the hat on budget day ... I think he revelled in the showmanship of it all .....
Mr Hammond on the other hand would appear rather bland in comparison .... I wonder if that means no more rabbits out of hats on budget day.0 -
I suspect that anything he pulls out of the hat may be more in the nature of myxomatosis than rabbits. Hope I am proved wrong.0

Everyone is telling me that investment and hiring has dropped off a cliff, so he won't have much to play with.
I'm speaking to recruitment agencies next week to haggle terms. I play hard ball and have done for decades, If they are hungry, they talk, otherwise they laugh at me. I'm guessing that we'll do some talking.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Is that going to be a very short term effect, while the Remnants are still working each other up into hissy-fits?
Are our brave Captains of Industry going to prove themselves the equivalent of the ninnies who had hysteria over the death of Princess Di?Free the dunston one next time too.0 -

I think they'll be more concerned with Theresa Mays pronouncement on executive pay than anything else.0 -
Is that going to be a very short term effect,
Unlikely. The investment will go elsewhere and the hiring will be done elsewhere. Momentum away from the UK seems to be gathering.
Of course, if you're increasing your UK investment and hiring, then please tell.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
