How do I set the clock on Goodmans TX1200 VCR?

I have been given a Goodmans TX1200 VCR with the intention of giving up my rented VCR but unfortunately no User Manual came with it. I have managed to tune in the analogue channels but I just cannot fathom out how to set the clock or, which buttons to press to even start to set it (it doesn't seem to be a very logical VCR!). Can anyone help please?

Didn't know anyone still rented VCR's these days given the low prices. It may decode the time and set it automatically but it may need to be tuned to a particular channel e.g. BBC1 for this to work. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

I know I'm a bit behind the times espresso just didn't realise how quickly things were changing until I started looking at finances more closely still ....... :-) When I tuned it into the analogue channels it didn't seem to pick up the time only when I pressed the standby key did a little red clock flash on and off then nothing happened and I couldn't guess at what to do either but then I don't know what I'm looking for. Thanks for your suggestion and time.0
