Asbestos tank

My daughter has recently purchased a house that has an Asbestos cold water storage tank in the loft in use,

I have contacted a local Asbestos removal company who have provided a cost to remove this under the correct conditions.

I asked if the price included an air test they said no as it is not required by HSE guidelines but I could have one if I wished.

I've also been told that the tank can be encapsulated and moved to another part of the loft.

1 are they correct in the information they are giving me
2 how can I get independent advice on Asbestos and know that a company is reputable .

Just want to get the right advice and not get work carried out by Cowboys.
Appreciate any advice

The tank should be lagged, it will have a build up of lime scale. or debris inside. It is encapsulated. Why remove it?

If you remove it can you get it out through the loft hatch? If not leave it in the roof.

I wonder if you can't continue using it?

The thing must be intact in view of the water in it, so presumably not shedding fibres. Isn't it likely to make more dust by fiddling with it than leaving it alone?

Do you think it is best left and still safe to use?
I was worried in case the fibres got into the water

Wait to see what others say, though this sounds unlikely to me.

If you're at all nervous about it, just get a plumber to disconnect it, and install one of these (or similar, I've certainly seen at least one at that site which claimed would fit through most loft hatches) in its place?

Why does it need to be moved to another part of the loft? Isn't that risking damage from the move? Just leave it where it is, construct another platform to sit the new tank on, and get the plumber to extend the pipework as appropriate.

Also check if it is a drinking water tank. Ideally, cold taps should be fed off the mains, and the tank could be for topping up the immersion, or the heating system.
