Standby travel waiver?

Hello
I work for an airline and get free standby travel. I want to book some accommodation but there's always a chance I won't get on the flight.
Booking hotels through specialist travel industry employee firms (as I have in the past) gives you the option of a 'booking waiver' payment for this reason, but I was wondering if any companies offer a stand alone policy to insure against not getting on a standby flight?
Thanks, Andy

I know TIS and Touchdown offer this but have never seen any other providers in the time I worked in staff travel.
Other options as your in the industry is to book agent rates with chains such as Marriott and Hilton where you can cancel up to the date of check in, Marriott you will need to do their online training with Hilton its a lot easier.
I have since then booked smaller hotels online that are pay on arrival again with cancellation free up to that date.
Depends on how far your going and if your arriving next day, otherwise its a fist full of back up tickets, checking loads and last minute change of route and make sure your tickets are endorsed for multiple airlines were possible.
I was always fortunate, in 10 years of standby I only got stranded once in HKG (my favourite standby hub).0 -
Thanks. Yes, with 5 of us it's not ideal. I'm thinking we'll go a day early and get a motel; there are two flights a day so it'll double our chances.
Passenger numbers look ok at the moment. Coming back looks fine.0
