Signed for delivery, only half arrrived. No support from ebay

I bought 4 bulky items from ebay shop - duvet, pillows, 2 packs of towels. Items paid for in one transaction and given one Hermes delivery tracking number by the retailer. One package delivered to work address but only contained the bedding - no sign of the towels. Took the 'non delivery' option to open a case with Ebay but the retailer has tracking info which says items delivered so Ebay closed the case in their favour. The retailer won't answer email, or give me any info on how many packages were sent out or who signed for them. Hermes won't give me any detailed information because I am the customer and their contract is with the retailer. They merely advise me to get in touch with them. The tracking info I can see shows an entry a week after the signed for delivery entry - 'at central depot', does anyone know if this is could be a parcel going back? How can it be right that I cannot find out who signed for this? Given what I read about Hermes delivery and the record of the retailer I believe the driver simply left the second parcel on the van since he had one with the correct tracking number on it. Is there any way I can pursue this further?

I can't, duvet and pillows were put immediately to use as needed. Genuinely thought a second parcel had been misplaced and that retailer (who had a good reputation)/ ebay would support. I'm not scamming, shame I have to be included with and suffer because of those that do. What I object most to is that I can't get the info I need to show it is Hermes that are negligent, only the retailer can do that and why should they, they have their money. I've just checked back on the tracking info and seen that Hermes have removed the line above the delivery that show something at 'national sorting hub' for a second time. I printed it out at the time but can't send it anywhere now.0

Take legal action and they will need to provide proof and signature. Or just ask the people at your works who signed for it?
Ive had a parcel delivered by Hermes when the tracking number didnt work. The rep on here even helped and still no idea on the tracking number.
Seller was excellent and sent me another, which was very good of them because it was an expensive item and i was expecting them to ask me to wait a few days at least. The replacement arrived and then a few days later the original one arrived but the tracking number still didnt work.
They were glad to get the 2nd one back.

Paragraphs help.
Opening INR was not the correct way.
You could open a SNAD explaining that you only receive x and not y. But be warned you will probably be asked to return the items you have.
I would open a SNAD as the seller isn't responding, and upload a screenshot/tracking which shows the lost parcel.0
