Small claim on household insurance

We had a small leak from our upstairs bathroom toilet into our kitchen ceiling. the damage is not huge, but there is a small repair hole in the ceiling - what impact would this have on our future premiums if we were to claim on the household insurance? If it increases it by hundreds then obviously not worth it.

You can find out now by doing dummy quotes online with and without this claim in your history.
Don't make any contact with your insurer unless you are definitely going to make a claim0 -
A small hole? A lot could depend on your excess, is it worth it?0

small hole from when i discovered the leak and investigated.
probably not worth the trouble to be honest. the bathroom was fitted by Homebase under 3 years ago so I'm in the process of getting them to sort it out via their installation guarantee thing anyhoo.0
