Hi we are planning on getting a howdens Glendevon kitchen. does any one have one? how long have you had it? has it warped or detached?
i have heard vinyl wrapped kitchens warp/peel near areas of heat (eg by oven) so wanted to know your view - as i dont want a kitchen which wont last 10+ years.

Is it any good? You decide, but the hinges can be upgraded, the drawer boxes can be upgraded, and the runners.
You should have touched and scrutinised the doors and drawer fronts. You will also know how heavy handed the kitchen users will be, and whether they will be keeping water splashes, condensation and moisture under control.
You will have read about vinyl wrap issues, and the pelmets and cornice are such items.
You have not touched on another issue. In 10+ years time this kitchen will look as fashionable as an Sony Betamax video player. If you are looking at a long term kitchen I suggest some quality door and drawer fronts in classic, or traditional, style.
The other item not mentioned is your choice of worktop. If you are going for a cheap laminate then this could be useless in 10+ years time even if the units are OK.0
