Morning chums
Yesterday evening was great. My gran made my GF and I a lovely steak dinner so we took our time and had a really good chat. She liked the flowers I took her which was a relief. We then went home to pretty much go straight to bed and watch a bit of GoT.
After work today I'm going to the gym and I'll pop in to the gym's shop while I'm there to buy my step-dads last birthday present - a new pair of sports shorts. Then who knows what the night will entail.
Jackie - I'll be thinking of you this weekend.
Coxy - My fingers are crossed!
Short but sweet from me today. Have a nice day everyone.0 -
Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
Its a bit dull again this morning, we had several heavy showers yesterday afternoon. The wind appears to be a bit stronger again.
OH is out in the garden. I wish we could do something about the cats that use our garden as a toilet, always in the same place in the middl of the lawn....yuk.......
Need to make scones this morning, we have nothing to have with our afternoon tea. Turkey in cream sauce for supper, we have some of lat night's gratin left, so will have that and some mashed potato.
No idea what I am going to be doing, I really need to sort out the next three quilt group meetings, one is a demo by a member making a scissor holder with a fold down top.
Good time yesterday with my niece, hoping to see her again at my daughters in a couple of weeks.0 -
Morning all
I'm attempting to spring clean today. I'm doing it in stages as I'll get too tired if I do too much. Midwife said baby is turned slightly so scrubbing on all fours will help :rotfl:. I'm partway through kitchen now, had to stop as fumes from the oven cleaner made me lightheaded. Will get back to it once I've posted.
WM has been on and towels are out on line, I've sprayed bleach over the two bathrooms (sadly unlike you Hester mine are both normal sized, plus we have a downstairs loo!) so will go clean them later on.
My cat hasn't come home this morning for breakfast, hoping he is just off exploring. I did hear him about 5am this morning in the house as he miaowed loudly. The kitten is exploring the garden and bringing leaves in (her new favourite toy!)!
Have a good day all x* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

Could you get a water feature that squirts at movement in the centre of the lawn?
coxy
fingers crossed for DH and also for my youngest who has in interview this morning.
Builder is sorting out the back garden and two skips have been filled so far. Planning a BLT for lunch and making marinaded chicken and cauliflower and broccoli cheese tonight.
Really pleased that a lot of stuff I ordered has arrived very quickly so I now have a nice new toaster and a present for a couple of DDs as well.

Just enjoy the time with your sisters.

Hi there, me again
Just popping on to say that I actually had a very nice visit from my sisters. I had decided not to bring up about the hen night but they both said to me that they felt bad for not going and my youngest sister is arranging a cocktails and nibbles night at her house in the near future for my daughter and my other sister and me. I know we are quite a dysfunctional family but I do love them all so much so I feel very happy now that things seem back to normal.
Hubby has just come home unwell so I shall don my Florence Nightingale cap and see if he needs anything. Take care xx0 -
Evening all..
Dumpling - how lovely to hear about you and your sisters.
My day has been both extremely tiring and extremely fascinating. Every stop has Neolithic villages or standing stone or ruined Earl's Palaces etc. It's all just stunning. And the weather has been so fantastic too, very hot and windy.
I've brought a glass of wine upstairs. Dinner at 6.30pm and then out on the town. I won't be late back as I'm both an easy bird and very tired...but happy.
I hope everyone has a great evening.0 -

Mmmm ...Freudian slip there!
Early bird. iPad thinks I'm an easy bird!
We've had a lovely evening listening to the accordion and fiddle practise session. Back in bed now. Whacked. Happy.0
