Navmii when driving in USA

Hi, does anyone know if navmii is going to cost me on data roaming if I use it for a forthcoming holiday to Florida?

I am looking for an option that will be free to use via an iPhone and be 100% certain I am not going to be hit by big roaming charges as a result!

Also, anyone any experience on quality of the directions on it? Any good?

Thanks in advance.

Why should you be hit by Roaming charges? Just turn Data Roaming off.
If your iPhone is not locked, use a PAYG Three SIM, utilising their At Home service. If not super fast, it will at least keep you in touch for a fixed price.

I've found Navmii pretty good in Europe, Mexico and Brazil, although I haven't used it in the US.
Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks

And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning

We used Navmii but preferred Co-Pilot in California and Nevada. No data charges once the maps were downloaded. Voice navigation was great.

We used Moto mobiles and noted heavy battery drain. Batteries didn't last the whole journey from LA to Las Vegas, nor the return. Next time, we'll use two mobiles, starting the second half way along the route.

Shocked that you don't travel with a USB charging cable. ;)
