  • Taking appointments, are not easy, as doctors are very busy. I wanted to have ultrasound, but I got the appointment letter after one week. I want a quick service for me and my family.

My sister had a routine mammogram and a small tumour was found. She couldn't feel a lump, the doctor only just about found it and he knew where to look (from the mammogram/scan). She had the lump removed and 2 lymph nodes. The lymph nodes were tested and they were clear. She then had radiotherapy and had to take a tablet for 5 years (forgot the name of it a the moment). She was given the all clear last year. Still has to take something, calcium tablet I think, for her bones.

I always attend my mammogram/smear appointments although I think the mammogram is the lesser of the two evils.
