Have you seen the chalk pens you can get? The ones I used when I wrote on slate for my wedding washed off (but lasted better than actual chalk)0

Thank you for responding, that's what i've been looking at but was concerned how easy they would clean off as a lot of them say not good for porous surfaces. Can you remember the make you used?A big thank you to all those who post on the forum and make it a worthwhile place!!!:j0
