At last :T- sounds like a substitute for Frador (am I allowed to put brand names on the website? - if not, sorry!), which seemed to disappear from the market some years ago. It was the only thing that really worked on ulcers. Have to admit I'm still using the contents of my very out of date bottle of Frador. Not sure why it was discontinued (please don't anyone tell me if the reason means I have to stop using it before I find an acceptable substitute as I'd rather carry on than suffer the pain of mouth ulcers!)

Luckily, I seem to have mainly 'outgrown' them now, used to get loads when I was younger, but it was also useful for the odd occasions when you eat something too hot and burn the skin behind your front teeth.

I had a brief problem with the site being a bit busy, but only for a few seconds.

I once read that one of the most common causes for mouth ulcers was picking your nose and eating it, hence more men getting them than women - come to think of it I ain't had an ulcer since I was a kid, but the husband always get them
  • Bonjela is so vile tasting & its impossible to get it off your finger & on to the ulcer! I used to use some brilliant tablets called 'Ulcaid' but you can't seem to get them anymore. However, the pharmacist suggested trying Tyrozets & usung your tongue to hold the tablet over the ulcer until it dissolves (the tablet that is!) & I have to say they work really well. They are antiseptic, mildly antibiotic & have an anaesthetic effect so they really cut the sting. You usually only need one or perhaps two tablets. Worth a try if you're really suffering.
