They cant force their way in unless they have a court order (AFAIK) or you've given them previous permission and they've done a goods inventery. Don't open the door, lock doors and windows and move the car if you have one. Call national debt helpline?

I thought they couldnt come in, so thats not a problem then. Very aggressive and rude people, what else can I do to stop them??

How many times will they call until it is passed back to the council tax at the council?

You don't have to let them it. Unless they could then enforce on goods outside the property they cannot enter without 'peaceful entry'.

I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.

I don't know the answer to that sorry. Personally I'd only deal with them in writing.

Someone will be along shortly to answer your questions - I think theres a letter you can send them revoking access to the property and setting up a payment plan? but its been a while since I've had to deal with this sort of thing so don't have them to hand im afraid!

Just don't open the door, If you must, speak to them through the letterbox.

As many times as they see fit - it depends on their enforcement agents case load and whether it's one of their higher value debts or not.

Sending them a letter wouldn't prevent them visiting under a court order. There's no requirement for them to take anything other than full payment to halt action.

its £900 that I was paying back at £90 a month.Rang them and said last months would be paid this week due to circumstances that they agreed and now say they didnt

Once this months payment goes out on the 25th I am up to date with the agreed plan

No car they can take, they dont have right to access and I am talking with Council tax boss who will hopefully help

So will just ignore the door if they call back, and I have rang the baliff and told her that as well

    Hi

As explained on this CAB webpage you can ask to see evidence of a bailiff’s identity and authorisation and they have to show it to you. You can complain to the bailiff firm and the council if the bailiff keeps on refusing to show it.
