When middle son left 6th form last year and as the last one of mine to leave that school (youngest went to 6th form college elsewhere), we gave cards to the key members of staff and chocolates/sweets and flowers for the staff room.
When youngest left at the end of year 11, he gave flowers and chocolates to his main TA with a lovely card thanking her for the massive support she had given him over the years which had made his going to college possible. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

My son normally gives his teachers and TA a card at the end of the year. This is his last year at primary school (he leaves tomorrow) and has chosen a small gift and a bunch of flowers for his teacher and TA, this is solely for all the extra help he has been given to assist him in passing his SATS, something that has not been easy for himbe who you are and say what you feel.

and those who matter dont mind.

Home made food? Are you having a laugh? Who in their right mind would actually eat anything made by anyone under the age of 11? Snot and germ cookie anyone? It'll be binned, save yourself the effort and write a thank You note.Pants0
