Compliments Vouchers

Hi all.
I am unfortunate enough to have £370 worth of compliments vouchers I won from work last year. Why unfortunate you are asking? I forgot all about them and now I have noticed they have a use by date on them which expired at the end of last month.:o
My question to all you moneysavers is, does anyone know my rights when the vouchers have went out of date?
I am thinking its so easy for the company (Eden Red) to check that they havent been used and reissue them as my company has paid and Eden have received the money.
Looking for any guidance or advice please?
Thanks in advance.

They have expired so there is nothing you can do, the expiry date should be clear on them.

Do Compliments Vouchers have an expiry date?
Yes, the expiry date for each individual voucher is printed on the front or back of the voucher. Compliments Vouchers must be used by their expiry date as they cannot be replacedI’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. They have a use by date for a reason and if you did not use them in time then it really is tough luck and only down to the discretion of the voucher provider if they want to help, Try asking nicely and see what is said but remember if they refuse to offer anything then you need to suck it up and chalk it down to experience.
Lesson for the future :- Must use any vouchers won/given within time period offered by the provider or risk losing the usage of them .0 -
Thanks for the reply. Yes its a proper DOH! moment for me. It seems a bit arbitrary of companies to put a use by date on vouchers as I stated before they have been paid already so I dont really understand why they wouldn't replace them.0

They cannot give a voucher with a non use by period as it is not practical for them, Again chalk it down to experience and being paid for matters not, It is down to the holder of said voucher to use within the given time frame of which you have failed to do so.0 -
For this very reason I spend any vouchers as soon as I receive them!
You could always try contacting them and asking for all or SOME of them reinstated as a good will gesture? No harm asking...Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

Unfortunately expiry dates on vouchers are valid. It seems a bit arbitrary of companies to put a use by date on vouchers as I stated before they have been paid already so I dont really understand why they wouldn't replace them.
Some companies bank on a certain proportion of vouchers never being redeemed and allow for that when pricing the vouchers, which may have been bought for less than £370 by you employer. However even if your employer paid the full face value the company need not give you anything in return in respect of the expired vouchers.
That said I agree that you should ask nicely to see if they will offer you anything on a goodwill basis.0 -

Nothing new with the use by date, you just need to have used them asap.0
