Critical Life Claim - further insurance advice pls

Hi,
I'm currently undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer as part of my preventative treatment. We have put a claim in to our insurance company for CLC.
My question is...hopefully both myself and family will now go on and lead healthy lives. However, I would like to know what additional insurance cover either myself or my husband (who currently has no known health issues) can get as extra cover now that we have claimed our CLC.
Our mortgage will hopefully be paid off with the CLC. However if my husband had to take sick leave for any issue, the income coming into the house would be low; and now knowing how important it is, to focus on your health rather than worry about money, I want to know we are covered if any future health issues arise.
Thanks

Your husband is unaffected.
You will likely face a range from either complete rejection or having special terms added depending on the medical information and/or the providers you look at. Over time, providing no re-occurrence, you will go on to find that insurers will start to reduce the clauses they add.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). My wife's critical illness policy came with life insurance. When she claimed on the critical illness part, the policy reverted to just a life policy (with a lower premium). Have you checked if your policy has any life cover?0

I have separate life cover with a different company. I'm in the process of digging out the paper work in order to notify them of recent events.0
