Vanish - Does it Really Work?

Vanish is fairly expensive compared with some own brands.
Does it really work? Do you use an own brand or something else that works?

I used Asda's own version at one point in the past but didn't particularly see it get my whites whiter or anything.

I'm not really into home remedies like baking soda and lemon juice or anything, but I can be open to that sort of stuff. Whether it's cheaper or not is another question.

Its always cheaper in places like £ shops and Lidl. I use it with all my whites, never even considered (or noticed) own brands.

Vanish Gold Oxi Action Brilliant Whites is really good for whites. If you look around some shops have it half price. It made my whites much whiter.
