using credit card aboard

Quick few questions.


Have been saving for a nice trip to Vegas in August and since Brexit the pound has collapsed.
As changing Sterling to Dollars will now be more expensive. would it be a good idea getting a credit card I can use to spend aboard and just pay the bill when I come back. Has anyone done this?

Yes, millions use credit cards abroad. There are quite a few that do not charge you to use abroad. Halifax Clarify, Nationwide Select, Aqua, Lloyds Avios etc.

No one can tell you what the exchange rate will be in August, so we cannot advise whether you'd be better off exchanging money now, or using a credit card in August.
