Replacement Bay Window - Double Glazing

Hi Guys
One of the big 4 Window companies.
A double glazing company has measured and manufactured 'J' shape bay (one large and two smaller windows) double glazing windows. The result is that the bay window is the wrong size, gap of 12cm, probably much more.
1)What the installer did in his first attempt was leave the window boards in place and try to install, as can be seen in Window1, there is a gap between the frame and the wall. He didn't even add 'knock on's'.
2)What the installer has done in his second attempt Window2 is remove the window boards, move part of the frame forward to reduce the gap. We think 'knock on's' have been added. They haven't been able to replace the original window boards, they took them away.
3)But this has created other issues. The finish between the frame, bay pole and the finishing strip has cavities (the bay pole is set back, but we've been told that it can be moved forwards) Window3. The vertical finishing strips haven't been installed.
4)Too much of the frame has been covered up by a finishing strip (the company has stated this is within their installation standards) Window4.

Is this the same problem OP has in the consumer section?

Yes it is. The company surveyor removed all the old trims except one when he measured the old windows. Is this the same problem OP has in the consumer section?

Tell them straight get it sorted out and do it asap as you will not accept a terrible finish like this that is going to look very poor, Give no security as such and also let in the cold and wet weather.
I do wonder how some Companies think that this is acceptable as when I did window fitting many years ago and on the odd couple of occasions the windows were not measured correctly we would then wait on the new one coming out the same day or simply secure as best as possible until the correct fitting ones could be installed.
Also on the bay pole they should not add any foam as the fit should always be quite flush with only the need for a small amount of silicone seal to give a finish.0 -

There are bay windows a plenty on the houses around me. Most bays are either incorrectly measured, incorrectly manufactured, or incorrectly fitted. People accept this, they are not bothered if the windows are wrong, and of course they pay good money for this.
Indeed my two closest neighbours have received new bay windows within the last 18 months. Both have been total balls ups but in both cases the neighbours have paid in full and claimed they are happy.
OP's situation is unacceptable, but the response from the installation company is typical. In the vast majority of cases they get away with this without any comebacks. Indeed, had OP not been taking photos and monitoring matters they may have got away with this one.0
