When did we EVER vote for PM?(don't get me started though on the irony of people voting for Brexit to escape the undemocratic imposition of leaders in the EC institutions, and ending up with a brand new Prime Minister here without a vote by the people, or even a vote by the Tory membership!)
Anyway, apart from that, May is the fourth of the last eight PMs of this country to enter number 10 without leading their party through a general election. 12 of the 24 changes of PM in the last century have been outside of an election.

Brownedge/Rain Shadow - unfortunately timescales can vary and there are a number of reasons for this, not all of which are directly within our control.
Brownedge's registration reads as if it should be fairly routine but as such a victim of the current delays some first registrations are experiencing. Is there a particular reason for registering now perhaps?
Rain Shadow's reads as if there may have been an issue over the extent being applied for although the timescale quoted seems inordinately long if solely down to us?
Appreciate you have both been in touch with us directly but happy to take a look at your two examples to flag on here where the delay(s) may have arisen if you would like me to? They read like two very different scenarios so it might be of interest to others as to why they have suffered from lengthier delays than is the average.

Brownedge - thank you. I have picked up your email and replied.
For the benefit of others this particular first registration was delayed solely as a result of our current backlogs. The average timescale remains as stated previously but this one has taken much longer having been received in February. Completion is due in the next couple of days so hopefully Brownedge should have the completed paperwork by the middle of next week
The issue of the enquiries not being acknowledged or replied to is a separate matter. Whilst we do not acknowledge receipt of correspondence we expect to respond to them within 5 working days. Invariably it is within 2/3 days but in this case our systems failed us and none of the letters were replied to. I am investigating this further to establish how it happened and to ensure it is not a wider issue and that any failings are not repeated.
I fully appreciate that will be of little solace to Brownedge though and would repeat what I have said in our reply, namely extending our profuse apologies for no replies and of course the delay in completing the registration.“Official Company Representative

This news from the LR rep is welcome - I appreciate the prompt and favourable response from that source. This is my first experience of the MSE forums, and it has already proved very useful. I will stick with it, and hope to find contributors generally concentrating on the most important and useful points.0

Indeed. When did we EVER vote for PM?
Anyway, apart from that, May is the fourth of the last eight PMs of this country to enter number 10 without leading their party through a general election. 12 of the 24 changes of PM in the last century have been outside of an election.
My point was that this change of PM was a direct result of the Brexit vote. And that vote was in part a protest at perceived lack of democracy in the appointment of EC Commissioners ('taking back democracy').
The irony is therefore that the first consequence of the vote to 'take back our democracy' is a wholly undemocratic appointment of a new leader for the country.
But I agree it is not the first time it's happened.0
