Advice on frozen accounts post death
Comments
-
I second post #11 -when my mother died ,the local branches were as much use as a chocolate teapot - some payments continued to go out of the current account after it had been "frozen" locally, and yet some payments were stopped and then charges raised because "of insufficient funds" -this all occurred because local staff applied the wrong codes when they stopped the account.
Further, one building society wrote a snotty letter to my mother (even tho' they had been furnished with the death certificate) because a DD set up ,had failed.0
