Morning :hello:
Lainey I don't know why Scampi wakes up grumpy, I was looking for a pattern – maybe it's a 'hangover' from a really stressy walk the day before, etc. - but there doesn't seem to be one. I've started keeping a diary to see if I can find a trigger. I used to worry about missing an occasional walk but now I just go along with whatever mood he's in, he seems to recover and go back to normal quickly this way.
Miss tru works for a company that has jewellry concession stands in shops, one of those shops is BHS. Wallis too, which is in our BHS. She has a meeting at work today to find out what's going to happen to her hours. She can only see two options – either spread the work around so everyone loses a couple hours or everyone keeps their own shops and she loses half her hours. She has another job too, 20 hours per week so it's not a disaster but still...
The doors aren't done, I have no idea when they'll be done now because master tru has tons of work booked in.
My agility course so far consists of a brush balanced between two upside down recycling boxes and a hula hoop which I have to hold up because I have nothing to hang it from
I'll put some washing on in a mo, when it's done I'll hang it out then go for a walk – I'm aiming for 45 minutes this morning. I need to hoover and dust upstairs and down, it's not often I do the whole house at once, lol. I have some paperwork to do later. I'd like to catch up on the latest episode of Bitten but I have trouble watching it because when someone transforms into a wolf Scampi shoots across the room and barks at the telly

Good morning all,
Hope you had a nice weekend.
Saturday was a long day at work so as soon as I got home and my head hit the pillow, that was me out like a light. Sunday was a chilled one reading a book and then out with the boys for the Euro Final which was a disappointment but boy oh boy, I'm tired this morning.
I might need to nip to the SM at lunch today as the cupboards are bare and thus I've not brought my lunch to work with me. I need a coffee asap before I fall asleep at my desk!
Hester - Could you phone a local locksmith to come round and fix it?
Gers - Hope today is as enjoyable as yesterday was.
Dumpling - Well done!!! That's amazing. I'm sure you'll look fabulous for the wedding.
Have a nice day everyone.0 -
Morning all,
Just catching up on your news.
I am ok, things are a bit up and down at the moment here. Hubby has decided he's coming out of the building trade at the end of the month. His CSCS card runs out at the end of the month and he's decided not to renew it. He doesnt know what he will do for a job but he says we will manage. He paid off his car loan on Saturday so we have no debts and sooner or later he will have to liquidate his assets.
Of course i'll support him in whatever he decided but i am secretly hoping he changes his mind as he's not the easiest of people to live with and quite selfishly, i like spending evenings on my own.
Youngest needs a kick up the bum to go and find work. He's not signed on or anything, he's just living on his savings at the moment but his body clock is out. He's awake all night and asleep all day.
Spoke to my daughter in SA last night, all is well with her as it is with my other daughter who is in the throws of planning their next exotic holiday.
Spoke to my eldest Son on Saturday. He is well and happy but my middle Son is causing cause for concern (but has done for years).
I am going to visit the Mother of my eldest Grandson tomorrow. She is having issues with my Grandson and I thought i'd go and offer her some support as she is finding Motherhood hard at the moment.
Onwards and forwards,
have a great day all. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Morning, just, ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
Monday clean done, washed my hair when I had finished, it was looking like a grease pot.
My new passport has arrived this morning, one less thing to worry about. It was delivered bu courier.
Weather cannot make up its mind, still very blustery, sun one minute, clouds the next.... no laundry all done yesterday.
OH digging some spuds, they were still quite small a couple of weeks ago, I want some to go with the salad and chicken tonight. More of the plum and rhubarb crumble for dessert.
Sewing room after lunch, I have a couple of things I want to sort out and I need to write a handout for the Christmas table runner/wall hanging/mats.
OH has weeded part of the front garden, he is taking out the yellow poppies as he goes, I want to try and contain them a bit more next summer.
Time to go and get some lunch..... have a good day.0 -
Nice morning at book club, then DD just texted to say she had a bad tummy through badly cooked/stored rice from KFC last night. So she is in bed recouperating The boys and her OH were all fine, and she was the only one who had a rice box !!!.I managed to get my car through the local wash this morning and they made a beautiful job of it All the boys who work there are eastern europeans and they work so hard and do such long hours bless them for probably pretty low wages,so I don't mind going to help support them(I always put the pensioners discount into their tip box on my way out
)
Decided I am going to have an mushroom omelette for lunch as I have a few mushrooms to use up and plenty of eggs. Tonight's dinner will be a sweet potato jacket with salad ,nice and quick and easy.
Well done dumpling I think you are doing brilliantly and 4lb is a great amount to lose in two weeks and I'm sure you will look fantastic at the wedding
Tummy is telling me its time for lunch, its either that or thunder rumbling:):)

Afternoon all
There is a man due at 4 to look at the door, hopefully he can sort it out.
Nearly walked out of work today, some items I ordered 2 weeks ago were needed today, no sign of them when I queried it, they haven't been ordered yet because the person 'couldn't be bothered'.
Then I was told the same person would give me contact numbers to phone, but no, she 'couldn't be bothered' told me to check on the internet. Well yes I can do that but as she already had the list why couldn't she just forward the information!
I know she's as fed up as I am at work, the difference is that I don't take it out on my colleagues!

My day started off badly - 40 min snooze after the alarm went off as I am not yet used to my new pain/sleeping tablets (fibromyalgia).
First stop today was the local cattery to volunteer (clean up poo!) for a couple of hours, before walking home for lunch and then off to work (where I am now). Really looking forward to finishing up here tonight and getting out with a friend to do some Geocaching (my main hobby...think GPS treasure hunt if you have never heard of it) as the weather is supposed to hold out until later! Also looking forward to getting back into bed...
Bit of stress at the moment as one of our pet rats is very sick, I got her some meds from the vet and feed it to her with apple sauce (homemade!) and she picks up, but then seems to fade as the meds wear off. I was going to take her to the vet today to have her put down but she was looking much perkier and now I just feel useless as an owner...such a difficult decision to make and I just don't know what is best for her.
Hope everyone is well; I'm looking forward to joining the OS community here!Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints!0 -

Hi haras nednats,
My DH and DS2 have just completed the geocaching scout badge (DH is a scout leader/DS2 a scout). They did it over three sessions and the boys all really enjoyed it. Sorry to hear about your pet rat. It's not nice when they are so poorly. Hope she picks up.
Everyone seems to have had a productive day. DH and I have completed our HW for the day. Now trying to watch TV but the rain is playing havoc with our sky dish!
Have a good evening everyone

That's brilliant, well done to them! The challenge I will complete today is to find at least 1 Geocaching for 366 days in a row...phew.
Thanks about our rat (Bashful, as she is so shy, her sister is Bold!), fingers crossed she either picks up soon or - horrible to say it - gets worse so we can end her suffering.Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints!0
