Casement night vents

Window furniture seems to be a minefield...

The brass fasteners supplied with my wooden casement windows were fairly cheap and a number have failed (the suppliers have replaced them), but I'd like to replace the upstairs fasteners with night vents. It seems that these are fairly easy to find in cast iron, but rare in brass.

I've found some cheap ones (£5 each), but these don't close the window very tightly, and the single vent doesn't really open the window far enough to ventilate properly at night.

I found a mid-range one (£15) which has a double vent and is much more satisfactory but is also ugly :cool: The more attractive ones seem to be in the £40+ range which is a lot to spend on a window fastener when I still have essentials like floors and a kitchen to pay for.

I'm not worried about them locking, as these are for the bedrooms only.

I'm pretty sure I've found everything google has to offer, but wondered whether I'd missed some trade options that I can ask my builder to look into. Any suggestions appreciated!
