Hong Kong in December, travel advice

Hi

I am thinking of going on a holiday to Hong Kong in December from Dec 2nd - 9th for 1 week.

I am looking for advice on good places to stay. Ideally I would like to stay somewhere central that has easy access to transport and the sites.

3-4 star plus hotel preferred wit breakfast.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Have a look at Expedia for flight+hotel deals to get an idea of price.

Public transport can get very crowded, so spend some time double checking the location of hotels.

Cathay Pacific are starting flights from Gatwick on new A350 aircraft.

Where in the UK are you?

If you collect points on hotel loyalty schemes, there are Sheraton and IHG hotels that can be affordable within Kowloon, the Intercontinental being right on the harbour front.

It can be cool and rainy in December - I was there last December for a few days and it was warmer in the UK. You might want to pack a couple of jumpers and a waterproof.

Weather wise that would be unusual, November to December are probably the best times to be in Hong Kong, certainly in comparison to uk weather.

It gets cool and rainy in February and March.
