Lottery Syndicate

Hi all,
I've taken over a syndicate of 7 people.
Everyone pays in advance, some £100+ at a time. We play 3 lines on wed and 3 lines on sat and a euro on Friday, which is £2 each per week.
Main lottery draw numbers have been chosen by the group and the euro is a lucky dip.
I've used excel for basic stuff but i would like something that could keep track of payments and winnings, I don't know where to start
I've looked online but can't find any kind of template or guide
Does anyone else take care of a syndicate that would like to share how they do it?
Thanks in advance

Hi, we move threads if we think they’ll get more help elsewhere (please read the forum rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board. If you have any questions about this policy please email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.
I’ve moved your thread from the ‘I wanna’ board to the ‘Techie Stuff’ board, where it is better suited.
Regards

https://www.syndicatetool.com/ was a sponsored link on Google, I'm sure there are others.
Also, try asking Camelot - they certainly have useful info about contracts etc0 -
You can use the Camelot online account system for managing your lines, but I've never bothered, not sure it works for syndicates.
I run a syndicate with 28 members, 4 pay £1 a week, and 24 pay 50p a week. We do 8 lines on a Saturday = £16. I just use excel and it works fine. I send an e-mail out every month telling people what they owe, and I have a line which is for winnings, and a sheet which calculates what each person has won, which is paid out at Christmas.
Basically, the payments tab on my spread sheet has - column A each persons name, Column B what they owe, then columns C onwards is the date of the lottery draw. In each of the lottery draw dates due that month I put a '1' in. The 'what they owe' is basically a sum of all the ones on their row (using the SUM function) - for people who pay 50p, the sum is multiplied by 0.5. When they've paid, I put a 'P' to replace the 1's, which reduces the what they owe amount. Simple but effective.
If people pay in advance, I put P's up to when they've paid. Only thing I have to remember to do is extend the range of the sum calculation, for the what they owe, when I add extra months on the sheet.
For the winnings sheet, I have a cell which shows the winnings so far (which adds up from cells where I've put the individual winnings in - not much this year though). For each person, I put a formula in for their share of the winnings - a person paying 50p a week gets 1 share (winnings/32), and a person paying £1 a week gets 2 shares (winnings/16).
Been using this spread sheet for 10 years - before that I had a folder with paper records which worked fine as well.0 -
This has interested me, as I have been asked for similar advice by the Secretary of a Social Club. I have therefore emailed Camelot to ask if there is online help from them in organising and recording transactions. If I receive a reply I will get back to you.I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

I run a lottery on a four/five week basis each month. Entry is £11 per week, in advance. No entry, not in. Full stop!0
