    Sorry, forgot all about this thread, apologies for taking months to reply!
    The proof I have is the evidence I've tasted when I've bought reduced wine.
    My money-saving tip for cheap wine is buying from something like the Sunday Times wine club. Their Australian reds are invariably excellent at around a fiver a bottle.
    It's difficult to buy this quality for the same price in the shops.
    Odbins do have a nice DeBortoli Shiraz/ Cab Sauvignon for £6 though.
