Travelodge UK - rate cheaper now than when I originally booked

Hello,
Does anybody know where I stand with 3 bookings that I made online 5 months ago for a stay in October 2016 that are now over £100 cheaper for the same 3 rooms?
My issue is that the rate I booked was an advanced rate which is non refundable however as I used my American Express card it has not been charged at the time of the booking and will only be charged when I arrive at the hotel.
Am I able to use section 75 of the consumer credit act?
Thanks
Mark

Section 75 is for breach of contract or misrepresentation.
I'm struggling to see how yours is either. You presumably agreed to the terms at the time, and booked early to get the rooms you wanted. You could of course have left it till later to book, and risked the rooms being sold out or more expensive.
Had the price gone up instead of down, do you think you should have been charged the extra, because that's the other side of your argument? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
If you booked an advance purchase rate, then you cannot cancel without penalty0

By booking early you guaranteed the rooms would be available, now they seem to be selling off cheaper in order fill the place up. If you could have predicted that it would be quiet during the period, you could have waited and booked last minute, but you chose to guarantee the rooms by booking early.0

Sorry, but as other posters have said, that's just the way it works.
If I were you, I would call Travelodge, point out the discrepancy, and ask if there's anything they can do. They'll probably say no, but it's worth a try.0 -

Plane tickets are often cheaper nearer the time of the flight, but you don't see passengers all haggling their ticket price down.:T :money: :T0
