Windows 10 installation - damn forgot to turn off!!

Not used my laptop for a couple of weeks and turned on this evening to see this screen.....see link:

Is this it installaing? Can I stop it? How long will it take? It's been going an hour

Yes, that's the Windows 10 desktop. If you had Windows 7 or 8 previously, you can go back to it by following the steps in this link.

Alternatively, when it asks you to agree to all the "legal" stuff, just say no and it'll roll back to what it used to be.

This is what I did:-

said 'no' to all the requests to let MS share/read all my details.

Let W10 install

Install ClassicShell to make it look like W7

Job done.

Don't bother with ClassicShell - just learn to use Windows 10 and you'll be fine. It's not that different.

Windows 10 coming over here and taking our jobs...

Seriously though, it's a good operating system. It's as if Windows 7 and 8.1 had a baby that was cuter than either of them. I really don't follow why so many people are so determined not to move with the times. Mind you, the bitterness here about XP losing extended support, I shouldn't have been surprised.
