Does the Battery option in Settings show Google Play Services as a high usage app?

For me (Samsung Galaxy S2, Android 4.0.4), yes it did. As I recall, on the first cycle where I identified the problem, in that Battery view it showed as having taken around 60% of the cumulative usage up to that point – much much more than the Screen, the next highest user.

After I'd uninstalled Google Play Services, the same entry in the list re-badged itself as just "Google Services", and over the next few hours gradually fell away down the list as normal performance returned.

    I've got a Galaxy S4 running 5.0.1.
I've got Google Play services 9.2.56 (238-124593566) and it's currently used 14% of my battery (according to battery manager).

I haven't noticed anything particularly untoward either.

If I go into Application Manager and scroll down to Google Play Services, I get the options to "Force stop", "Uninstall Updates" and "Disable"
