Martin's round robin E-mail arrived just in time as my fixed electricity deal with Scot. Power expires at the end of this month. Checked out his pointer to nPowers Sign 8 online tariff with a couple of switchers and sure enough it's the cheapest for my consumption, BUT, I can't find the Sign 8 tariff & conditions nPowers web site. 2 E-mails to them a week apart have only resulted in Auto receipt responses. Anyone out there know how to get a copy of this tariff?
Whilst on the subject of n'Power, I found the 'Upped my D/debit' comments on the forum a bit worrying, but when I had this problem with Scot.Power I found that writing to them denying them the mandate to increase the D/D payment worked every time.

  • I made the mistake of swapping to nPower SOL6 back at the start of May. That was a mistake as their administrative systems are farcically bad.

I WOULD complement them on having pleasant, easy to reach, UK based phone staff, but everything else stinks - wrong contract prices, repeatedly, wrong dates, meaningless letters, loads of such letters/leaflets/mumbo-jumbo.

It has taken until yesterday 24 Sep 07 to get final confirmation that I have been supplied from the dates expected, at the price expected, with the meter I have, on the dates expected, with a reasonable direct debit.

Life's too short to have the time/effort/0845cost to do business with npower in my view.
