I applied for the fixed rate bond on Fri 8th July and today 13th July have received the welcome pack with my Acc Number and Sort Code if I wanted to pay in via FP / BACS.

redandwhitestripes & derrick both say that they have been told that deposits will be accepted up to 8th August.

I posted them a cheque over the weekend to fund mine in one go but will try and add more to it if it becomes available via FP before the cut off date.

FP is available now if you have the welcome letter as it contains account number and sort code, I have sent an FP today to test it works, will phone them on Friday to see if they received it.

Sorry I didn't make it clear. Yes faster payment is available now, what I meant to say was I will make a FP into the bond if I get any spare money before the cut off date.
