Secure Trust Bank's new 2 year fixed rate bond paying 2.2% may be a way to protect some cash against falling interest rates.

I've had several fixed rate bonds with Secure Trust Bank over the years and am happy with the service received and would recommend.

I assume you've already filled the 5% and 3% accounts?Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
Yes we have 7 Regular Saving Accounts, 5 TSB Accounts, Santander 123 Account, 2 BOS Accounts. As the Newcastle have not transferred the money to our account as arranged I am now going to give them grief!:mad:Having given them grief, I was informed that as they are a Building Society the funds take two days to transfer, so we will get them tomorrow. To Dare is To Do:beer:0

I applied for the 2 yr STB offering on Friday 8th July and sent them a cheque as knew the NBS money would be landing in my account soon (funds landed in my linked account today).
STB 2.2% must have been pulled today as it was still on offer yesterday:

I did the same - applied online on sunday evening.
I didn't get an email so I called them up today and they said the account was opened and the paperwork on its way.
I got the account number from them so all looks OK as long as I pay in by 8th August.
I did get a bit worried when I saw the link was broken but they must have been oversubscribed on the bond.0
