Single rate on an economy 7 meter

Hello LesU and glad we've been looking after you. With savings like that, I fully understand why you're looking to switch.
Just thought I'd let you know about the Price Protection Window. Customers nearing the end of a fixed term contract, like you, are protected from price increases and exit fees. The window is open 49 calendar days before the tariff ends until 20 working days after. Provided we're told, we'll make sure you're protected against any price changes that aren't in your favour whilst a change of supplier goes through. Also, exit fees don't apply whilst this window is open. Might give you a bit of breathing space whilst you sort out the meter issue.
With the meter, it'll be registered on the National Database as Economy 7. All suppliers use this database when moving accounts between them. Our system can cope with combining the day and night readings as I posted above but not sure about other suppliers.
Hope this helps LesU.

How you look up on a switching site for single rate E7 metered I'm not sure. Most can only search for E7 or single rate tariffs.
If the companies just want a single number I can provide that, as the meter displays Low,High and Combined figures. I have a feeling that the meter is registered as E7 and can't be used in a dual role by some companies.
First run the comparison site saying you have an E7 meter. That will show Avro (because it's an E7 tariff, but oddly each rate is the same) as well as all other E7 tariffs. That will tell you the cheapest solution for you as an E7 customer.
You'll obviously need to provide quantity used on each register (or some sites simply ask for low rate as a proportion of total)
Make a note of the anticipated annual cost.
Then run the comparison site in single rate mode.
This simply needs your total annual usage.
Compare the annual cost with the cheapest annual cost on E7.
Then you need to start at the top of the list of single rate tariffs and ring the supplier to see if they will accept you on that tariff despite you having and E7 meter.
Keep going down the list in this fashion until either you find a supplier who will accept you or the cheapest single rate tariff is more expensive than the cheapest E7 tariff you have already made a note of.
It may be there are no cheaper single rate tariffs compared to the cheapest E7 tariff, for your circumstances.
(Don't worry about current supplier or tariff at this stage - what you are looking for is the cheapest currently available tariff for you and that is not related in any way to who supplies you currently)0
