I am planning for an expansion of business making it online. So I need a web hosting service, which can provide me domain and handle all hassles of domain registration and parking. It should offer hosting in both Windows and Linux. Can anyone refer me any web hosting service suitable for me. Thanks a lot!

I use http://www.compila.com/ and have had no problems and the couple of times I've used their support service to ask questions response has been very quick and helpful. Service is reliable and my site hasn't gone down once. They offer web hosting and a free domain name, have Linux and Windows based servers. UK based. Prices for hosting go from £12.00 per annum for the starter package.
I found them originally through a recommendation on a site called MoneySaving expert :rotfl:I live in my own little world. But it's okay. They know me here.0 -
dreamhost and monstergator are the most popular though i havent tried it..0

I use bluehost on reccomendation from a colleague and found their service and livechat helpful. They don't have Windows hosting AFAIK but the list of incudeded services is impressive. You can also use the demo for a pre-purchase trial run.

You can visit https://www.b1hosting.co.uk for the web hosting solution you are looking for. It caters services of domain registration and parking after you have selected a domain name and a hosting plan. You can select any platform as it offers both Windows and Linux hosting, with the latest web technologies including PHP, CGI, MySQL, and SSL.0

TBH usually it'll be cheaper to get the domain and hosting seperate.
.co.uk's are £2.50 from 123reg.co.uk
And if it's only a small site then most ISP give out free hosting to their customers0 -
joe9,
Obviously as I work for http://www.UK2.net I’m going to trump their (excellent :P) web hosting solutions but my advice would be check out independent review site such as WebHostingChat.co.uk to get a feel for what others are saying about Hosting/Domain offerings.
Hope this helps mate.UK2 Happy Chappy0 -
Make sure the servers of the hosting company are UK based - it makes a difference to search engine rankings.
I use OpenMindSolutions - the customer service has been good. I tried 123-reg in the past but was not impressed.

Hi,
I have used www.Mortinc for many many years and had no bother whatsoever from them
They may not be the cheapest, but where business is concerned no hassles at all

I work for 3B Web Design, so I'll try to be as impartial as possible! We use 123-reg.co.uk for our domain registrations, and ThirdSphere (Linux only, not Windows) for hosting - I find both companies have EXCELLENT customer service, and we manage all our clients' websites and domains, so deal direct with these companies on their behalf.
We charge a premium for our service, because of all the "hassles of domain registration and parking" (as you put it!), but you can go direct here:

If thirdsphere are of interest then drop me a line - I won't bother advertising my affiliate link here - I know that would insense a few!!!0 -

I've heard you can also route your traffic via UK proxy? I setup and manage a mix of sites so want some to appear on UK searches, but still manage them via the excellent multisite software I currently use. (Sorry to hijack this thread)Shopaholics Un-anoymous! :j0
