US DOT approves US-Cuba flights

This includes flights to Havana and also other airports in Cuba, flights could start operating later this year, could be good for multi-stop trips.

    I'm with you and blindman, except as an eternal optimist, I rely on the resilience of the Cubans...

    Our Cuban-born mate, explained some (not all) of the cultural differences (his take on the sexual mores was particularly interesting) but didn't prepare us for the wondrously indifferent (proud?) attitude to customer care in a country where they would no more glibly chant "have a nice day" than p13s on you...

    So I can't wait to see how Yanks respond to having to ask six times for all the breakfast items you ordered actually turning up- before going behind the bar and making your own coffee...

    ...which we, and the laid-back waiters in our beautifully restored Colonial hotel in Old Havana were perfectly happy to do.

    So, unless you just want cheap S, S & S in a tourist beach ghetto like varadero, yopu should do soon!
