Ebay Return Request "Doesn't match description or photos"

I've had an Ebay Return Request the reason being "Doesn't match description or photos"
I took 4 pictures of the actual item, I gave a detailed description of the item. The manufacturer makes 2 types of this item, a screw fit and a push fit, the description said in big red letters my item was the push fit and not the screw fit type, 3 of my 4 pictures showed this.
The return request says the buyer wanted a screw fit type.
I've sent a message telling the buyer all this and that I'm happy to give a full refund but that it is totally unreasonable and not appropriate that I pay the return postage. After 3 days, the buyer has yet to reply.
Am I forced to pay return postage to get my item back?

Personally I would report them for misuse of the MBG policy. Then I would ring CS and explain. Ask them if they can change the case to a return (I have only managed it once and it took several calls). If they can't/won't then don't accept the return. You run the risk of having a seller unresolved mark on your dash, but I would escalate it by phone to CS again explaining the difference and highlighting the fact the buyer wanted the other type.

    Good luck.

theonlywayisup - Many thanks for your prompt reply.
Although I've messaged the buyer through the options given by the case it still says "Please take action by 13 Jul."
If I don't accept the return don't I run the risk of letting the buyer keep the item for free due to Ebay automatically refunding them.

Yes, if you don't supply a return label then buyer will get a refund and keep the item. That's why theonlywayisup suggested phoning eBay so they can physically have a look at the open case.

I'll give them another day or two to reply and then phone Ebay.

Dont wait, phone ebay now. It may take you several days to get someone with a brain. One i spoke to aboiut a shill bidder said its normal for a buyer to buy several items from the same seller they do it all the time.

When i asked them how many armchairs have they bought from one seller, they clammed up and went into dumb robot mode.
