Ryanair fly from Manchester to Eindhoven and KLM fly from Newcastle to Amsterdam. Would you be Ok driving a hire care in the Netherlands?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

There is a ferry from Newcastle to Amsterdam if you want to take your cartravelover0

I haven't used the Newcastle - Amsterdam ferry but have used Hull - Rotterdam and found it a very easy way to travel with the car.0

The website rome2rio can give you a summary of your options.0

Thanks richardw and bigadaj, the rome2rio is a great idea, list the total journey and the transport options available.would hope to travel in early september as wife has to go into hospital this week for an op and will be laid up for 6-8 weeks and by then kids will be back at school and most peoples summer hols will be over so prices for airfare etc might be a bit lower, not that it matters as this will be a bit of an adventure as we normally book holidays thru Jet2 or similar, putting the whole thing together will be different but i am sure we will manage.
Again thanks for the info supplied

Unless you want to be able to travel around the area when you get there I would just use public transport, which in the Netherlands is comprehensive and pretty well integrated. I'd be surprised if you can't get there by train and/or bus from Schiphol airport, where the railway station is part of the terminal. If you just want to see local sights when you get there then bicycle hire would probably do the trick.0

s'Gravenmoer is not very far from where my aunt and uncle used to live. It is pretty easy to get to.
By your own vehicle, I'd suggest Hull to Rotterdam, which puts you in a good place to get-on to the A15 then A2/E25 motorways which takes to to s'Hertogenbosch in about an hour its then maybe 30/40mins on local roads from there. Al though personally I'd probably take the A15 till Gorinchem, then get on to the A27 south to Oosterhout, which puts you within a couple of miles of s'Gravenmoer. Dutch motorways are no great shock if you are used to UK motorways, although the A15 can be very busy with trucks going to and from Europoort.
Public transport in the Netherlands is pretty excellent though, so unless you do have specific reason for a car, leave it at home. Most of my visits have been by motorbike, which meant parking was ok in even the busiest places but when at my relatives, the bike usually got left and we mostly used public transport instead.
So by train/bus, from Amsterdam or Schipol, take the Eindhoven train to s'Hertogenbosch, then the 300 (Tilburg, approx every 30mins) bus from right outside the main station to Waalwijk bus station, then the 206 (Oosterhout, approx hourly) to s'Gravenmoer.
Bus from Eindhoven is a bit longer/more convoluted, but you could still train it to s'Hertogenbosch and bus from there.
Both s'Hertogenbosch and Eindhoven are interesting cities, well worth a visit themselves.0 -
Thanks everybody for the information supplied, unfortunately there was a typo in my original post I DO NOT HAVE A CAR ,sorry my fault.
Airoplane, train and bus appear to the best option.
Another question,if you were planning this trip would you book the accomadation in Holland first then the transport or would you book the flight first?
Thanks again for all the help
