AA Credit Card Direct Debit

Afternoon Everyone,

Just want to check if this is correct.

I've got a new AA credit card - DD set from day one - payment date was yesterday and the DD wasn't collected. Call customer services and they said it has been requested but can't take a couple days to show on my bank account. I challenged this as none of my other cards work like this. (DD details are correct)

Checked again today and still not cleared so thought I would call again as you never know if you are being told the right info. Was advised information but the money will be taken from my account on Monday at the latest.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the money was always collected on the due date which is the 6th.

The DD may be collected before, on or even after the due date. But it's the lender's problem, not yours.

My first DD was due yesterday too, and was not taken. If you check your statement you'll see it quite clearly says "on or after 6/7/16".

Thanks for the replies.. Guess I am just nervous as it the first DD. I will waiting until Monday and see what happens.

If AA have confirmed the DD has been called for, then you should be fine.

Obviously the first DD does not always take on the next payment, as it needs time to be set up and the customer advised of the amount, which is where many people get caught out.
