DPS problem with agency

Hello all,
I have rented a property when I have arrived at the UK and had several problems. The house hasn’t been cleaned, a lot of appliances didn’t work, etc…
When the tenancy ended, they requested 200£ of the deposit because they say the house was not cleaned, although we have cleaned it. We have emails, photos and the check inn sheet with all the proof.

I have obviously refused to accept it, and started a claim on the DPS website. After that, the agency manager told us we should accept it so we could make a claim after that. So the agency made a new proposal with the same values, and I accepted it. Today I have an email saying the agency received the 200£

Mad, I have called DPS and they say then can’t do anything more. I called the agency but the manager is always on the phone or out of the agency.

Did he lied to us, or the way to complain and present my proofs is after we each receive our cut?

Thank you for your help.

If I understand this correctly, at the end of your tenancy the LA proposed deductions of £200 from your deposit for cleaning. You then accepted the deductions because LA told you to? You've kind of shot yourself in the foot here. Why would you accept deductions that you did not agree with? The deposit has been released and it no longer has anything to do with DPS. You would need to take the LL/LA to small claims court to try and recover the £200 but you've weakened your case by accepting the deductions in the first place.
