  • Morning((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

On our way to Bingham, red light on the dash, battery, turned round and came home, car at the garage, alternator. The car has cost me very little in 8 years so I just have to grit the teeth and pay for it. Thankfully I have an account that I pay money into each month for MOT, insurance and servicing and also the house insurance. Shopping will have to wait until tomorrow.

I need to sort the water butt. We bought a new one for the coal shed, it leaks, so they have sent us another one, I will try to dismantle it and fit the new one which arrived yesterday. It could be interesting!!

Also need to sort out supper, will have to change the menu as I am not able to go to Aldi.

Lap top is upgrading to Windows 10, so using my IPad.

Builders are still demolishing the huge fish tank in the garden and will need another skip. It turns out the previous owner sunk it several feet beneath the ground  Several villages seem to be missing an idiot due to his departure (can you tell I am getting a bit tetchy?)

Looks as if I will just have to bite the bullet and spend the money to get this place safe and comfortable. Reminding myself it will be worth it in the end.

I have emptied two more large packing cases and found the food processor and slow cooker that I think my youngest wants. I also filled another box with stuff that can go. Think I might drag in a case or two at a time from the integral garage to the living room and sort things out there.

I tried to order from the blue cross sale as I saw a duvet set I loved - after trying for two hours with the site freezing, refusing to accept my password, then not recognising the new password they sent me - I decided I could take a hint and they obviously do not want my money so got the same item on ama*on for a few pounds more and with free postage.

There is home made cottage pie for tonight which I made yesterday and I plan to do a stir fry with chicken later and then pack it up to freeze.

    Hugs to all

Good grief Elona - the saga goes on! At least you're being pragmatic and just getting it all done.

My mornings' work was good today, I actually helped two lovely people with work-related problems. After last week when I was just hanging about it felt better.

Only bought a new comb in town and some biscuits for the builders before heading home.

Packing is almost done, just a couple of things to add in when I collect my order from M&S tomorrow in Glasgow. I remember to transfer some money to the current account to be moved into the regular saver when I'm away so I won't lose any interest in either account. Every penny counts.

Camelot - I can imagine you on the balcony with your morning coffee, it's lovely to read about you enjoying yourself.

All I need to do tomorrow is finish clearing the corner out, move the big chair and clear the mantlepiece. One of the builders called round last night with his very wet and happy sprocker spaniel, the one who likes a shoe in his mouth most of the time. :rotfl:

Got my food shopping today and spent only £16.80 in total. Quite pleased with all I have bought, lots of fresh fruit and veg, and some essentials that I had run out of.No more shopping for me for at least a week now, really cutting down and using up what I have in my bulging freezer for a while

    Evening all.
Well I went out over lunch to a nearby reservoir for a picnic. The weather was against us as it was pouring down but fortunately there was a covered barbecue area with picnic tables so we sat there and put the world to rights. Very moneysaving and also no-one had to pay parking as they've got blue badges.
Gathered daughter's stuff to pack for camp. Bless her she's all over the place as school have been off timetable doing Enterprise Day and tomorrow is Sports day then camp. Now know where and what time to drop her off. Her condition means she looks forward to events but can't cope with change in routine. Sure she 'll have an ace time.

Hugs to those who want / need them. Better make a list for town in morning.
