Would Lloyds Bank be able to increase my credit limit if I call them?

in Credit cards
There is a reason I'm asking this, and I'll explain after this. If I log into my internet banking, it tells me I cannot request an increase until I have had my account for six months, and I've only had it for 3/4
I have the Lloyds Avios credit card to use abroad. I applied back in February but was rejected, and I needed a card that I could use abroad for no extra cost, so the only one to accept me because of my lack of credit history, was Aqua. They gave me an account and gave me a £300 credit limit which I deemed fair.
I used the Aqua card for around a month or two, paying for small things like lunches or my iTunes bill ect. Small things, and then paying it off in full at the end of every week. I then applied for the Lloyds Avios again and was accepted, being given a £750 credit limit.
Anyway, towards the end of May, I received a letter from Aqua stating that they had been monitoring the way I use my account with them, and so they were increasing my credit limit from £300, to £1050. This went into effect a few days ago. But I don't really use that account any more, and the next few months are going to be quite expensive for me where I will possibly be spending nearly £2000 and I'd like to use my Lloyds for the Avios points..
If I call them, would they be able to increase the limit maybe? Or will I just get the same response as the internet banking that I cannot do anything until after six months? Aqua increased my limit after 2/3 months. Can Lloyds after 3/4?

I have the Lloyds Bank Platinum card and everything regarding the credit limit in online banking is done through "More Actions" and then "Manage Credit Limit". But I have never had to apply for a limit increase because I get them without asking.
Are you in the right place in the online banking? If so and it says 6 months then you'll have to wait 6 months. You could ring them and ask them for anything but whether you get it is another matter. Probably better if you go into a branch.0 -

I gave them a phone call today but the man just confirmed they can't as it is considered a 'new account' up to the six months point. So I didn't argue, I completely understood and left it there. When it comes to these big payments, I might just pay monthly on credit or pay the full amount on my debit card0 -

I recommended going into a branch.
Let's look at this: If you telephone they will be looking at their screen and reading information which is probably the same information you've already read and that reinforces the rule they and you have read. But if you go into a branch they might do the same but they might make a mistake and approve it.
Too late now though because they are likely to have a record of you phoning.0 -
Lloyds gave me a £1k limit on the Avios card... I called and was told similar, no limit increases for 6 months. Even after 7 months, they wouldn't increase my limit as the system said not eligible. My double avios offer had finished, and I'd spent enough to get the free upgrade voucher, so I closed it and opened the AMEX Gold. Once the free year is up, I'll reopen an Lloyds Avios and get the double avios and another free voucher if it's still available.0
