ID for a basic bank account?

Hi All

I recently moved in with my Dad and do not have a current active bank account due to having a horrendous credit rating.

I am now looking to open a BASIC account with Barclays, however they need proof of my address - I do not have a bank account, a utility bill, as a dependant I am not showing on his tax bill, my drivers license has been updated online to show my new address, but does not actually say it on the license itself.

I have had a look at the list of acceptable ID below and honestly cant come up with one way of me getting ID unless I pay for a new driving license, in which case I will have to wait 4 weeks + to open an account.

Can I take my Dad's utility bill along with a letter saying I live with him? Or anything else? ANy advice taken - thank you

To confirm where you live, we need 1 of the following:
Current UK photocard driving licence or UK full paper driving licence with current address (if not used as identification)
Gas bill (less than 3 months old)
Water bill (less than 3 months old)
Telephone bill for a fixed line (less than 3 months old), not a mobile phone bill
Local authority council tax bill (current financial year)
Bank statement (less than 3 months old) from another bank (internet statements are not acceptable)
Mortgage statement that's less than 12 months old (internet statements are not acceptable)
Council rent book (must be current)
HM Revenue & Customs notice of tax coding (current tax year)

Write to the local authority and put yourself on the electoral roll and then use the letter you get back as address ID.

DVLA let me update my address and sent a new photocard out for free. This was only a couple of years ago so doubt it's changed since then.
