Dear All,
I'm wondering if someone can help me.
I'm currently experiencing issues with my television which is a Toshiba 42VL863. I am trying to connect a Sega Megadrive With 80 Built-In Game and has the RGB/Composite cable included. When trying to connect the Yellow and White connect to the television, and changing the input to 3, the image isn't showing or the sound.
I've also purchased a HDMI male to 3 RCA video converter component AV adapter cable but that also isn't successful when connecting to a HDMI port.
Please therefore can someone advise how i can get this working, as the TV has a Mini SCART connection and i'm wondering if it's worth purchasing a cable to try this method if the above can't be used. Checking the Sega website comments, someone has suggested that if i purchase a RCA A/V cable to scart it would work, but as shown above the SCART connection for the television isn't the standard size and is a mini which isn't easy to come by.
Look forward to any suggestions.

I suggest you download a sega megadrive emulator for your PC and play every game ever created
You can use an xbox 360 controller as it has the usb connector ..

Whilst i appreciate your suggestion, i don't really want to download an emulator and avoid the issue at hand. Do you have any other suggestions in relation to the cable problem i'm experiencing?0

This Megadrive with 80 games built in has a cable with a yellow, red and white phono plug at the end, is that right?
And your TV has a yellow, white and red phono input - composite as you say? How do you know that this is input 3 - have you been through all the inputs just in case?
You can get a 'block' that these 3 plugs will go into, that converts them to SCART

But it look like you'll still need an adaptor to get to the 'mini SCART' on your TV - I would imagine your TV would have come with this - have you checked the packaging?0 -
^^^ this ..
But after reading the reviews of this console, i stand by my recommendation to use an emulator ..

Why not buy an RCA to scart adapter, connect the Sega to the RCA end, then connect the RCA to scart adapter to your TV's scart adapter before finally plugging it in behind your TV?
I must admit it does seem like a lot of adapters.0 -
Have you tested the AtGames Megadrive on another TV to confirm the unit is working so to rule out a faulty product ?Science isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.0
