For anyone going to France this summer, this is a great offer...
The "t" tag allows you to use they fast lanes instead of using cash or card lanes. This can save a lot of time at toll booths.

http://www.atmb.com/en/special-offers/free-subscription-electronic-toll-pass/

I got one of these a few months ago on a similar offer...

The tag is free, you get 12 months fee free (after that they charge €1.60 for calendar month you use it).

NOTE - YOU STILL NEED TO PAY THE TOLL CHARGES

You need a credit card or direct debit agreement (not sure how the latter works with somewhere in France). They bill you once per month so transaction/exchange rate charges will be reduced, but if you have a credit card that doesn't charge you - eg Clarity Card - you'll be quids in...

It's just a shame that post Brexit everything is going to cost so much more :(. I bet the leave voters didn't think about the impact on their holidays....

It's a sad fact that it's cheaper for me to go to France for a week than it is to go to Scarborough (and I've been to Scarborough twice). The Med tends to be a bit warmer than the North Sea too ;-)

When I did it, the box "D!pot de garantie par badge :
Ces frais seront pr!lev!s sur votre première facture."
had €20 in it. I think this is just a default HTML issue because the text clearly says it's free. I wasn't charged anything above the €3 shipping when I bought one. That charge was on my first bill.

On the next page, choose the CB radio button if you're paying by Credit Card. This is then used for subsequent billing - the initial €3- and then when you use the tag.

I had someone in our office (who happened to be French) to translate the small print for me. There wasn't anything out of the ordinary iirc.

Well I have a gite in France - far cheaper than buying a house in the UK!

Yeh, where abouts? Parents have just sold their place in charente (can imagine a lot of brits who where stuck with french property are quite happy with brexit). Always fancied living there but jobs dont really exist, the only brits out there i know are retired or are builders taking advantage of the blase attitude of french builders.

The trouble with holidaying in the UK is that you have to pay to go places with the kids when the weather is cold and pay to eat out when you can't BBQ.

    I also find France cheaper.

    Hi

Loire Valley - between Le Mans / Tours / Angers - in terms of jobs, most of the UK people in the area seem to do cleaning / odd jobs until their French is improved.

Go for it I would say - but learn the language!

Maybe they did think about the impact and then thought "you know what, we're not bothered anyway". Can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs.
