in Credit cards
Hi. I need to pay for accomodation abroad (Croatia) and the site states 'payment will be taken in local cash currency'. Is it best to take out cash via a credit card, or just take Sterling and exchange locally?

You could always take cash with you from home and pay at the start to save any untoward charges.0

Fair point, just wonders if exchange rate maybe better in situ, but hard to know I guess0

So long as your credit card doesn't charge any fees or load the exchange rate for overseas cash withdrawals this is almost certainly the cheapest way to get cash.
Even if your card charges 3% this often works out cheaper than the best rate you can get exchanging cash.
Though I'd be suspicious of a hotel that only accepts cash and not cards...0 -
I would take sterling and exchange over there at a forex shop then pay with that cash as you would get a close to good rate0

It's an apartment , but understand what you mean0
