Looking for an Evernote substitute

I use Evernote for mainly for notes and for clipping web pages for future reference. It's very useful as it syncs my data between my Desktop PC, my Laptop PC, my Android phone and my Android tablet, and has an efficient way of organising my notes and clips into Notebooks.
However I'm not happy with Evernote's new charging system, which means that after an introductory period they will be charging me £45 per year if I want to sync between more than two devices.
Can anyone suggest alternative software which will work on Windows and Android platforms and allow synchronising between devices? I'm happy to pay a one-off fee if necessary, but I resent being asked to pay £45 every year by Evernote.

True...I was blinded by the Android factor.:o.....I actually use both, depending on the situation....Big_Graeme wrote: »Microsoft OneNote does the trick.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Yes, sorry for confusion.:o:)...I use both on Android. I moved from Windows phone, where I just used OneNote, to an S6 and started using Keep as well. The OneNote app on android is very good.Onenote does run on Android too - not sure if that was what you were saying or not, so just for clarity
I have an Evernote account but use it less and less these days. The two devices restriction makes it pointless for me now, as it does for the OP.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

I use Google Keep and it works fine across Android and Windows. Has the merit also of costing £0.0

OneNote has a tool for migrating from Evernote

Thanks everyone. I had looked at OneNote and Keep quickly and neither appeared to have the user-friendliness of Evernote, However I've played around with them today and can see that they should be able to do what I want. OneNote's migrating tool could be the clincher."The trouble with quotations on the Internet is that you never know whether they are genuine" - Charles Dickens0

Keep is great for quick notes like shopping lists and stuff, OneNote is great for more complicated documents and notes.0
