  • Hi all,

I've been following these posts the last few weeks and please to say we also received our mortgage offer today!! (Know exactly how you are feeling phil22)

It took us about 3/4 weeks, but that was going back with some extra information now and then.

Hope all goes well for everyone who is still waiting for their offer!

    Hi,

Phil ! I'm so happy to hear the good news ! Told you patients is a virtue ! Now good luck with the conveyancing! .. Does anyone know how much do solicitors charge for conveyancing ? What stage are you at Phil for conveyancing side of things ? We quoted at £700 including vat . Is this normal ? What's the average price ?

Congratulations to all those who have received their formal mortgage offer .

    Hi Phil ,

Googled it as it's easier and quicker :j

    Definition of CONVEYANCING

A term including both the science and act of transferring titles to real estate from one man to another. Conveyancing is that part of the lawyer’s business which relates to the alienation and transmission of property and other rights from one person to another, and to the framing of legal documents intended to create, define, transfer, or extinguish rights. It therefore includes the investigation of the title to land, and the preparation of agreements, wills, articles of association, private statutes operating as conveyances, and many other instruments

    Hope this helps 😃

  • Hi Abi,

Thank you for your support. Precise received our application on 23.08. Then we sent my partners SA302. They refused to give us 80% but told may give 75%. We agreed. It happened on 31.08 but no news since then. Our broker not so positive anymore as he was at the beginning. I have good creditscore, no late payments or creditcards. My partner has 7 defaults that he is paying off via Stepchange ( after bad divorce).
So i kind of gave up now:( Our salary togeter is around 130k and we want 250k to borrow so generally its not too bad based on our salary but I have a bad feeling:( Worried that we will lose the house now :(
